Manfred Zobrist - Kase Brand Ambassador

Manfred Zobrist is a landscape photographer based in the border region where Germany’s Baden-Württemberg, France’s Alsace, and Switzerland’s Basel-Stadt canton converge. From a young age, he explored his photographic identity, experimenting with various genres, including wedding and studio photography. In 1991, he took part in a multi-month war reportage in Croatia during the Balkan War.

In 2007, after transitioning to digital photography, Manfred’s focus shifted to travel and landscape photography, a passion he pursues whenever he finds the time. Over the past few years, he has traveled multiple times to Japan, northern Norway, the Faroe Islands, and southeastern Switzerland, always in search of unique subjects. He is particularly captivated by how, after meticulous planning, all the elements come together at a single moment to create the perfect image. Yet, it is the sheer joy of witnessing and capturing magical moments in nature that truly drives him.

Landscape photography, more than any other genre, relies on the interaction of elements, the control of dynamic range, and the creative manipulation of exposure time.
