Jason Mordecai – Kase international partner

Jason Mordecai is a Welsh Fine Art Landscape Photographer who first discovered his passion for photography during a trip abroad in 2007. Encouraged by others who noticed his eye for capturing stunning scenes, he decided to invest in a quality camera and begin documenting the beauty of the natural world.

In 2009, Jason’s travels took him through Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Malaysia, where he fully immersed himself in the art of photography. Those few months marked the beginning of a journey that would ignite his passion for the craft.

After returning to the UK, Jason enrolled in an advanced photography course and excelled, using his new skills to photograph the breathtaking Welsh coast. As the years passed, he continued to refine his craft, capturing portfolio-worthy images of Snowdonia and West Wales.

Known for his ethereal, dreamlike aesthetic, Jason draws inspiration from both art and fantasy, with early influences from artists like Albert Bierstadt and epic stories like The Lord of the Rings.

In 2016, Jason embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Iceland with a friend to photograph the northern lights. Autumn in Iceland provided vibrant colors and stunning landscapes, and the experience was a photographer’s dream come true.

Following the success of that trip, Jason traveled to New Zealand in 2017 to capture the southern island’s night skies, completing an epic journey that fueled his creative spirit.

A seasoned traveler, Jason enjoys meeting new people and sharing his knowledge, especially when it comes to photography. Whether helping beginners capture the Milky Way or offering tips on tricky shots, he believes the true thrill lies in the story behind each photograph.

Jason’s work has been featured in several online magazines, and he’s had two exhibitions in Wales – one at a gallery in Monmouth and another at the Senedd, the National Government building for Wales.
