Thorarinn Jonsson – Kase international partner

As an Icelandic photographer and the owner of Thor Photography, I’ve been passionate about photography from a young age. What started as a serious hobby eventually transformed into a full-time career around 2014, fueled by my love for capturing the world through my lens.

Travelling has always been a significant part of my life, and few hobbies complement it as well as photography. Having always been drawn to the outdoors, it felt natural to focus on nature and landscape photography when I made the decision to pursue this path professionally. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about capturing nature in all its forms, and simply spending time outdoors has a positive effect on both the mind and body.

Since 2015, I’ve been guiding photo tours and workshops, both in Iceland and internationally. These experiences allow me to help others refine their skills while exploring some of the most breathtaking locations around the world.

I’ve always aimed to spend more time capturing moments in the field than behind a desk, which is why filters are a crucial tool in my creative process. Getting it right in camera is a goal I strive for every time.
