Bragi Kort – Kase international partner

I come from a long line of photographers. My grandmother, for instance, was the first person to open a photographic service/studio in Hafnarfjörður, at a time when cameras were as rare as cars.

Before diving into photography full-time, I worked for many years as a sales manager in the professional audio industry, selling microphones to broadcasters and video enthusiasts. But photography has always been my true passion.

My journey in photography began at the age of 14 when I got my first SLR camera. However, it wasn’t until 2008 when I acquired my first DSLR that my photography journey truly began to take shape after years of dormant interest.

I started with landscape photography, but quickly ventured into model photography. I worked as a freelance photographer alongside my previous job until 2015, when I made the decision to leave my position, obtain the necessary licenses, and transition into the growing tourist industry in Iceland. I combined my photography skills with my love for travel and became a photo guide.

While working in the sound business was fulfilling, there’s nothing like combining your passion with your work. The joy of receiving gratitude from customers after a successful photo tour, especially after a night of hunting the Northern Lights, is unparalleled. Arcticshots is proud to have earned a top spot on TripAdvisor for night photography and Northern Lights tours in Iceland.

Another of my passions is combining Iceland's stunning landscapes with the graceful figure of the human form, particularly the female body. My work has been featured in online publications such as ION Magazine in Australia and vogue.it. I’ve also led fine art nude workshops in Iceland with well-known models and photographers.
