Kai Hornung - Kase Brand Ambassador

Kai Hornung is a professional landscape and fine art photographer based in Hanover, Germany. His work captures the beauty and diversity of nature, ranging from intimate, abstract compositions to grand, sweeping panoramas.

Kai's photography journey began in 2016, and in just a few years, he has emerged as one of the most renowned international landscape photographers. His images have garnered several prestigious awards, including being the sole German winner of the ‘International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards’ (Landscape Picture of the Year 2020). He was also shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards. His work is featured globally in both online and print publications, such as National Geographic, Elements, and Condé Nast. With more than 140,000 followers on Instagram, Kai has built a global following.

Through workshops, lectures, articles, and online mentoring, Kai shares his passion for photography and imparts his expertise to aspiring photographers. He has collaborated with numerous companies and served as a judge in various photo competitions.

"A truly great image reveals more about the photographer than the subject itself," says Kai. He draws inspiration from abstract artists like Mark Rothko, impressionists such as Monet, and the dramatic landscapes of artists like Friedrich and Bierstadt, as well as the moodiness of film and music, all of which influence his photographic style.

Outside of photography, Kai works part-time as a training manager in the HR department of a large financial services provider. He is also a father of two and a passionate amateur musician.
