Stefano Paterna - Kase Brand Ambassador

Before turning his passions, travel and photography, into a profession, Stefano Paterna worked for several European banks after completing his studies. Even then, he pursued photography through a course at the prestigious London University of the Arts, followed by a year-long assistantship with advertising and fashion photographer Prasad Naik in Mumbai.

After years of living abroad and extensive travels, the Cologne-born photographer with Italian roots returned to Germany. Inspired by the world’s beauty and diversity, which he continuously explores through his camera, Stefano decided to become self-employed in 2006. By 2013, he had opened a photography school in Cologne, where he shares his knowledge with amateur photographers through local workshops and curated photo trips. Beyond teaching technique, Stefano emphasizes the importance of diverse perspectives in photography. For him, there is no single "right" way to capture an image—only unique viewpoints that lead to fresh and surprising results.

As an active travel photographer, Stefano continues to shoot for magazines, publishers, tourist boards, and tour operators, with assignments taking him across the globe. His work has been featured in renowned publications, including National Geographic Traveler, Condé Nast Traveler, Merian, GEO, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
