Oliver Schwenn – Kase international partner

My love for Scandinavian nature began with my first journey to Norway in 1994. Studying geography and my passion for photography led me on over 100 trips to the Far North, including during my doctoral research on a Norwegian national park.

Photography has fascinated me since childhood, and witnessing and capturing the magical Northern Lights was always a dream of mine. Over time, this dream turned into a deep passion. Whether under the endless light of the midnight sun or the darkness of the polar night, you’ll often find me on overnight photo expeditions, chasing these extraordinary phenomena.

The islands of Lofoten and Vesterålen have become my second home, making it an even greater joy to guide guests through these breathtaking landscapes. Together, we seek out the most stunning locations, perfect compositions, and the best light while sharing in the wonder of the Arctic. My travels frequently take me to Finland, Sweden, and Iceland as well.

Since 2018, I have been working full-time as a photography guide and instructor—first as a freelancer for various providers like Diamir, before launching my own business in 2020 to offer even more personalized photography tours.

After relocating to Denmark in early 2021, I re-established my company, ARCTIC PICTURES, ensuring compliance with the latest European travel insurance standards through the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund.

I welcome photographers from all German-speaking countries, from beginners to professionals, and look forward to sharing unforgettable experiences in the wild beauty of the North.
