Biography
I fell in love with the beauty of Scandinavian nature on my first trip to Norway in 1994.
My studies in geography and my passion for photography led me to more than 100 trips to the far north while I was doing my doctorate for a Norwegian national park.
Photography has fascinated me since I was a child.
It was always a dream to experience and photograph the magical northern lights live.
Meanwhile, the hunt for these apparitions has become a passion. It is not uncommon for you to meet me on night-long photo trips both during the midnight sun and during the polar night.
I can now call the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands my second home.
It is therefore a particular pleasure for me to experience these dreamlike landscapes together with travel guests and to search for the best motifs, locations and times and to share the enthusiasm for the wonders of these regions.
Finland, Sweden and Iceland are also destinations on my many trips."
Since 2018 I have been working full-time as a tour guide and photo trainer, initially as a freelancer for various providers such as Diamir before I became self-employed in 2020 with even more individual photo tours.
After moving to Denmark in February 2021, I re-established my company ARCTIC PICTURES and meet the latest European standards regarding travel insurance via the Danish travel guarantee fund.
My guests are photographers from German-speaking countries, from beginners to professionals.
