Biography
My name is Michael Schaake and I have been taking photographs since my early youth. My passion for landscape, nature and wildlife photography quickly crystallized. I am particularly drawn to the far north of Scandinavia and southern Africa, where part of my family lives.
Most of my pictures are created during my numerous hikes. Always on the go, many of my pictures arise spontaneously from the moment. It's often a matter of seconds to capture the changing mood of the light.
For a few years I have been sharing my knowledge at photo workshops and photo trips that I offer together with a colleague.
