Chris Wright, internationaler Kase-Partner
Based in the Spanish Sierra Nevada, near Granada, my photographic journey began as it does for so many with a Kodak Brownie received as a childhood birthday present. After years of struggling to understand why my landscape photographs consisted almost entirely of foreground, much later I attended the London College of Printing, studying Photography, Film and Television graduating in 1983.
Since then the road has taken many steps including working as a commercial photographer for ten years in the UK working in the food and wine, property product and architectural niches.
My love of the landscape stems from being brought up in England’s North Yorkshire where the landscape is ancient and varied. Travelling in India, China, North America and Europe broadened my horizons and when I moved to Spain I fell in love with the mountains and deserts of Almeria, Andalucia and the Sierra Nevada.
I am launching a new venture in 2025 - Eight Peaks Photography which will build on the mentoring and workshop practice I have built up informally in the last five years. We offer Photography Workshops based in Granada and the Sierra Nevada, Cabo de Gata National Park and the Picos de Europa. We are planning trips to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco for 2026.
I have work published in numerous journals and magazines including pictures of the Shanghai Tower published by the Architectural Consultancy Gensler. I am an advocate of DxO and Adobe Photo processing software and Canon cameras and lenses.
