This adapter ring has been specifically designed to allow the Olympus 7-14mm F2.8 lens to be used with our ARMOR filter holder and associated 100mm rectangular filters. It saves you having to switch to the 150mm filter system and fits perfectly into the 100mm filter holder system. The adapter ring is attached directly to the Olympus 7-14mm lens and then inserted into the ARMOR filter holder. Note: The magnetic 90mm polarizing filter of the ARMOR filter holder cannot be used with this adapter. Instead, you can mount a 100mm polarizing filter directly in the K9 filter holder. The ARMOR 150mm filter holder can carry either two magnetic round ND filters from the K150P series or one ND and one polarizing filter. In addition, the filter holder has the option of holding up to two rectangular filters from the 150mm series (in the magnetic ARMOR 150mm frame). The ARMOR K150P filter holder is anodized in matt black to avoid light reflections. In order to be able to mount rectangular filters, you need a magnetic ARMOR filter frame for each rectangular filter. Is the ARMOUR filter holder the successor to the previous K9 filter holder?
Yes and no.
Yes = It is a further development of the K9 filter holder from Kase.
No = It does not actually replace the K9 filter holder. Both systems will accompany our K100 (mm) series in the future.
What material is the ARMOUR filter holder made of?
Special aluminum from aeronautical technology. It ensures the highest quality and stability of our filter holders.
Why is the filter holder black?
The matt black anodisation reduces light reflections on the holder and thus unwanted light effects when taking pictures and videos with the ARMOUR filter holder mounted.
How many filters can be installed?
In total, you can install up to 4 filters in the ARMOUR filter holder:
- Magnetic Round Polarising Filter (ARMOUR Series)
- Magnetic Round Neutral Density Filter (ARMOUR Series)
- Square/Rectangular ND or GND Filter (100x100 or 100x150mm)
- Square/Rectangular ND or GND Filter (100x100 or 100x150mm)
Where to mount the magnetic ARMOUR Polariser?
If the ARMOUR magnetic round polarising filter is included, please make sure to install it as the first filter in front of the lens.
Do I have to use specific filters in combination with the ARMOUR filter holder?
Yes and no.
Yes = You can mount our magnetic round ND filters of the ARMOUR filter series directly into the ARMOUR filter holder.
No = You can reuse existing square filters simply by adding an ARMOUR filter frame.
Can I use filters from other brands with the ARMOUR filter holder?
Yes.
All filters with the dimensions 100x100mm or 100x150mm are supported.
Just keep in mind:
- Our 100mm series rectangular filters have a glass thickness of 2.0mm.
- Some other brands use thicker or thinner glass.
- We support a glass thickness from 1.1mm to 2.1mm!
Are there any discounts on the ARMOUR filter holder?
When purchasing our filter sets of the ARMOUR series, you get a lower price compared to individual purchases of the same products.
How about handling in the cold with gloves on?
It's very good!
It is best not to use the thickest gloves, but thin ones. You can work easily with them.
What are the ARMOUR filter frames for?
The magnetic frames serve several purposes. On one hand, they protect the edges of the filters, on the other hand, they make the rectangular filter magnetic and can be mounted on the ARMOUR filter holder.
Does anything change when using the filters in the frames?
The filter glass is touched less because you usually only touch the frame.
You may need a wider bag as the filters become slightly wider with the frame mounted.
What material are the ARMOUR filter frames made of?
The magnetic frames are made of high-quality aluminium and NOT plastic.
What sizes are the magnetic frames available in?
The ARMOUR magnetic frames are available in 100x150mm and 100x100mm.

Can the magnetic frames be reused?
Yes, the magnetic frames have special fine threads which can be attached using 4mm Torx screws. You can easily assemble or disassemble the frame.
Can I buy the magnetic base rings separately?
Yes, you can buy any of the available base adapter rings separately. Check the adapter rings category to see our products.
Do the magnetic lens hoods fit?
Yes, the magnetic lens hood with 82mm diameter can be mounted on the ARMOUR filter holder base adapter ring.
