When to use soft graduated ND filters?
Soft GND filters are used to balance exposure in the scenes with a gradual transition between the brighter and darker areas. Considering that the soft graduated ND filter has a smooth gradual gradient, it is ideal for those situations when the horizon is not straight or there are objects encroaching on the horizon line (e.g., mountains, buildings, trees).
