What can you use the Neutral Night Filters for?
Clearly primarily for use in nighttime landscape photography and astrophotography. By using our neutral night filters on your cameras, you achieve more details in the images and a much clearer and higher-contrast image of the stars and astronomical deep sky objects. Our astro filters reduce the incidence of light by around 2/3 of an aperture.
Did you know that a city with 25,000 inhabitants is enough to artificially brighten the surroundings within a radius of 20 kilometers and thus make the night sky appear cloudier and less contrasting, or give night shots a yellow tint. The artificial light sources that cause the most light pollution are sodium vapor lamps and mercury vapor lamps. Among other things, these wavelengths block our night light filters and thus enable shots of a starry sky and night shots without a yellow cast.
