Biography of Florian Warnecke
Florian was born in 1979 in Nuremberg. The trained carpenter and Bachelor of Geography now lives and works in the hometown of his family, Murnau am Staffelsee, where he runs the family-owned grocery store in the fourth generation. Since 2011, photography has become his second profession.
He is especially proud of the fact that, through his photography, he follows in the footsteps of his great-grandfather. Nevertheless, his pictures are primarily dedicated to his father, who was the first to consider them good enough to be presented to the public.
The works of this wildlife and landscape photographer are used in magazines and calendars and have already won various international competitions. Besides the local animals and landscapes around the Murnauer Moos, his true passion lies in the nature of the North. On his photo tours and workshops (Iceland, France, Slovenia, Austria, etc...) he tries to pass on his passion for nature and photography.
It is hard to describe how much photography has enriched Florian's life. As a child, he devoured documentaries about wildlife, and now as a photographer, he can finally observe and photograph these animals in the wild. White sharks in South Africa, musk oxen and Arctic foxes in Norway, bears and wolverines in Finland, as well as pelicans in Greece and golden eagles in the mountains of Bulgaria are just a few of the animals that have appeared in front of his lens.
Another privilege is being able to pursue his photographic work alongside some of his idols and mentors, such as Tom Svensson and Hans Strand. On all these adventures, he gains experience and is able to express his deep love, especially for the animal world. Coming back home balanced and grateful and sharing the beauty of nature with others to strengthen awareness of nature is one of his greatest goals.
