Chris Wright – Kase international partner

My journey into photography began like many others—with a Kodak Brownie, a childhood birthday gift that sparked a lifelong passion. After years of trial and error (and wondering why my landscape shots were mostly foreground!), I pursued formal training at the London College of Printing, graduating in 1983 with a focus on Photography, Film, and Television.

I spent a decade working as a commercial photographer in the UK, specializing in food & wine, property, product, and architectural photography. However, my true love has always been the landscape. Growing up in North Yorkshire, I was surrounded by ancient, varied terrain, and my travels through India, China, North America, and Europe further deepened my appreciation for nature’s diversity.

When I moved to Spain, I fell in love with the rugged beauty of Almería, Andalucía, and the Sierra Nevada. Now, after years of informally mentoring other photographers, I am launching Eight Peaks Photography in 2025 to offer workshops in Granada, the Sierra Nevada, Cabo de Gata National Park, and the Picos de Europa. We are also planning photography trips to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains in 2026.

My work has been published in various journals and magazines, including architectural photography of the Shanghai Tower for Gensler. I am an advocate of DxO and Adobe photo processing software and I primarily shoot with Canon cameras and lenses to bring my vision to life.
