Melanie John - Kase Brand Ambassador

Since 1995, I’ve proudly embraced the role of "photo aunt," a nickname affectionately given to me by a customer whose wedding I had the privilege of photographing.

Originally from Sauerland, I’ve called Frankfurt am Main home since 2000. My passion for photography truly ignited in 2006 when I transitioned from analog to digital photography and discovered a fascination for architectural subjects. But by 2014, even the striking skyline of "Mainhattan" was no longer enough. A trip to Lofoten awakened a newfound love for landscape photography, which continues to shape my work today. While I still provide personal coaching in Frankfurt, I also schedule workshops both locally and abroad each year, exclusively advertised on my website.

I was once described as always "on the move," and I can’t disagree. Chasing the best light and stunning landscapes, I embark on road trips around the world. These adventures—and the occasional wild experiences—are a perfect counterbalance to my banking career. There's something magical about the peaceful moments at sunrise, where the world slows down, often bathed in breathtaking light.

Since 2009, photography has been my second profession. My journey with filters began in 2010, and I was instantly hooked. It’s a technique that continues to captivate me, never losing its charm.
