The magnetic protective filter is intended as an "always on" protective filter for the Nikon AF-S 800mm F5.6FL ED VR lens against scratches and dirt.
Frame material: aluminum / magnetic strip

Note on installing the magnetic MCUV UV filter:
The base adapter ring is screwed hand-tight onto the lens and then fixed with the counter screws.
The protective filter is then screwed hand-tight onto the base adapter ring. This guarantees a secure hold.
This protective filter is intended as “always on protection”.
